WORCESTER – Officers from the Neighborhood Response Team arrested two individuals on drug and gun charges following a traffic stop on May Street on Tuesday, May 9, 2023.
Officers saw a black Audi with a license plate for an auto dealer from Georgia crossing the double yellow line at around 7 PM. After officers stopped the vehicle, they discovered one of the occupants, Davien Watson, 43, of Worcester, had outstanding arrest warrant. He was arrested.
During the arrest, police say the driver, Ryan Davidson, 38, of Worcester, fled from the vehicle into nearby backyards on Maple Tree Lane. After a chase on foot, Davidson was arrested. Officers allegedly discovered a bag containing what they believe was fentanyl in his possession.
Inside the vehicle, officers allegedly discovered two handguns and a silencer inside the Audi.
Davidson faces charges of:
- Carrying a Firearm without a License;
- Carrying a Loaded Firearm without a License;
- Improper Storage of a Firearm;
- Possession of a Firearm Silencer;
- Possession of a Class A Substance;
- Armed Career Criminal Level 3;
- Possession of Ammunition without an FID Card;
- Disorderly Conduct;
- Resisting Arrest;
- Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle;
- Illegally Attaching Plates;
- Operating an Unregistered Vehicle;
- Operating an Uninsured Vehicle; and
- Marked Lanes Violation.
