WORCESTER – Police officers arrested Daylin Davidson, 18, of Worcester, after a brief chase on foot in the area of Harding Street on Friday night.
According to the Worcester Police Department, Gang Unit officers were on patrol near Crompton Park around 8:15 PM on Friday when they saw Davidson walking on Harding Street. Davidson was wearing a fanny pack. When officers approached him, Davidson sprinted away, crossed Harding Street and jumped a fence.
Police followed Davidson through a backyard on Sigel Street and finally located him hiding in the hallway of a residence on Endicott Street. He was placed under arrest. Officers searched the area and found Davidson’s fanny pack, which contained two loaded handguns.
Davidson doesn’t have a license to carry firearms. He will be arraigned in court and is charged with the following:
- two counts of Possession of a Large Capacity Firearm
- two counts of Carrying a Loaded Firearm
- two counts of Carrying a Firearm without a License
- two counts of Possession of a Large Capacity Feeding Device
- possession of Ammunition without an FID Card
- two counts of Improper Storage of a Firearm
- two counts of Use of a Firearm in a Felony
- Disturbing the Peace
- Disorderly Conduct,
- Trespass
- Tampering with an Official Record
