WORCESTER – A Georgia-based developer plans an apartment complex on the former site of Mount Carmel Church on Mulberry St.
WP East Acquisitions, LLC, will present its plans for the project to the City of Worcester planning board on June 18.
The structure, called Alta Seven Hills, plans a five-story, 371 living unit complex that including 253 one-bedroom, 104 two-bedroom and 14 three-bedroom units. Plans include a parking structure with over 500 spaces connected to the building by a skywalk.
The plans also include a dog park along with an outdoor kitchen and fireplace.
Two courtyards sit in the interior of the surrounded living units with a landscaped park area, called Pocket Park, at the corner of Mulberry St. and East Central St (pictured above).
The building will span down both streets with the parking structure and the entrance to the grounds of the facility facing Mulberry St.
