DUI Checkpoint Next Weekend in Worcester

WORCESTER – The Massachusetts State Police [MSP] have announced that there will be a sobriety checkpoint this weekend in Worcester County from Saturday evening, May 19 into Sunday morning, May 20.DUI Checkpoint Next Weekend in Worcester 1  According to MSP, the purpose of the sobriety checkpoint is to “educate the motoring public and strengthen the public��s awareness to the need of detecting and removing those motorists who operate under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs from our roadways.”

The checkpoint will be operated during random hours. The State Police assures that officers will select vehicles at random and that safety will be a priority.

The sobriety checkpoint is possible thanks to a grant from the Highway Safety Division of the Massachusetts Executive Office of Public Safety and Security.
