WORCESTER COUNTY – The Massachusetts State Police have announced there will be a sobriety checkpoint in Worcester County this weekend.
The checkpoint will take place from Friday evening, July 22, into Saturday morning, July 23.
According to the MSP, the purpose of the sobriety checkpoint is to “…educate the motoring public and strengthen the public’s awareness to the need of detecting and removing those motorists who operate under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs from our roadways.”
The checkpoint will be operated during random hours.
The State Police assures that officers will select vehicles at random and that safety will be a priority.
