WORCESTER – Local tattoo artist and POW! WOW! contributor Eamon Gillen is behind the design of new labels on the crowlers at Redemption Rock Brewing Company in Worcester.

Gillen, of Worcester, is an artist at Crown of Thorns Tattoo on Grafton St. and his art can be seen all over — including on products at Worcester Wares, on a wall at Sail to Trail Wineworks, and on the outside of Canterbury St. School in Worcester.

He’s even one of the artists behind the murals at the soon-to-open Pixels & Pints [located right next to Crown of Thorns Tattoo on Grafton St.]

So what is a crowler?

Essentially, the beer crowler is the can-form of a beer growler. It’s a 32 oz aluminum can that lets people to transport home beer straight from the tap at the brewery.

This one at Redemption Rock certainly makes for a great Worcester collector’s item.
