WORCESTER – The EcoTarium announced on Tuesday, May 25, that it will reopen its indoor exhibits starting Friday, July 9.
Reopening of the indoor exhibits will include two new exhibits, the Tree Houses and Design Zone.
The Tree Houses exhibit teaches how to become an environmental steward by hanging out in trees and how trees help sustain life on Earth.
The Design Zone exhibit highlights the relationship between mathematical thinking and the creative process in art, music, and engineering. Design areas allow users to create and produce music, video games, and extreme sports.
The EcoTarium is relaxing outdoor mask requirement for vaccinated individuals. All guests must remain masked at certain animal habitats where our resident wildlife are susceptible to COVID-19 (North American River Otters, Red Fox, and Mountain Lions).
When the EcoTarium’s indoors are reopened, the museum will follow the CDC’s guidance for schools.
The Ecotarium, founded in 1825, is an indoor-outdoor museum of science at 222 Harrington Way in Worcester.
