WORCESTER – Elections held on Tuesday, Nov. 5, brought 65,251 Worcester residents to the polls, vote by mail, and early voters, a turnout of 55 percent.
Over 62 percent of voters cast their ballot for Democratic nominee Kamala Harris, who lost the general election for president to Donald Trump.
In the other races on the ballot on Tuesday, just one incumbent failed to win reelection. Peter Durant, a republican serving in the state senate after winning a special election last year, lost to Sheila Dibb, a Democrat who launched a write in campaign during the primary to get on the general election ballot.
Worcester Voters also approved the same three ballot questions approved state wide.
