WORCESTER – A true crime, cold case podcast series exploring the dozens of unsolved murders and missing persons cases currently under investigation by the Worcester Police Department released episode 6 of Season 2 on Thursday.
From the founder of ThisWeekinWorcester.com, “Unsolved: Worcester” is a series of narrative episodes airing every Tuesday and Thursday over six 10-episode series. The episodes have an average run time of 19 minutes.
Episode 6 of Unsolved: Worcester Season 2, “Strangled to Death and Dumped in the Street – Part 1,” tells the story of the unsolved murders of Sonia Blanco and Evelyn Cruz on Feb. 4, 1993.
The two women were known prostitutes in Worcester. Their bodies were found about a mile apart from one another. The women had been strangled to death.

Season 2 of Unsolved: Worcester continues on Tuesday, Jan. 24, with part two of the two-part episode special on the unsolved murders of Sonia Blanco and Evelyn Cruz.
Each episode is accompanied by a video program highlighting each victim, where the murders took place or where the missing person was last seen, and other locations important to the case. The videos will feature exclusive aerial views of Worcester from New England Sky Pix. Accompanying videos will be available on the show’s website and on YouTube.
