WORCESTER – According to the National Weather Service, extreme windchills are expected after 7 PM on Wednesday night and into Thursday afternoon.
Wind chills will range from 15 above zero to 15 below zero.
The NWS is warning people that the cold windchills will cause frostbite in as little as 30 minutes to exposed skin. They are cautioning people to cover up and wear hats and gloves to avoid frost bite and hypothermia.
Looking ahead, the forecast calls for wind chills to drop as low as 15 to 20 below zero Saturday into Sunday and Sunday into Monday.
