Mother’s Day is just a week away and the team at Zippia has put together a list of of the favorite Mother’s Day brunch items in each state.
Mothers in Massachusetts are among just five states full of mothers that enjoy eating pancakes more than anything else on Mother’s Day.
Zippia used Google Trends to determine what brunch food each state eats a disproportionate amount of. They measured search volume and prominence on menus while defining brunch foods as common breakfast foods and drinks
Zippia then determined what food is searched a disproportionately high amount in each state.
Some things of note from Zippia’s report:
- The majority of states favored sausage or bacon on their Mother’s Day brunch menus
- Five states chose either Bloody Marys or mimosas as their favorite menu item
- New Hampshire was the only state to choose waffles as the brunch favorite
