WORCESTER – On Wednesday morning, officials identified the female victim found in the trunk of a burning 2004 Buick LeSabre at Hope Cemetery last week as 59-year-old Cynthia Webb, of Sterling, an employee of Mario’s Showplace – an adult entertainment club in Webster.
As first reported by MassLive, and confirmed by sources close to the investigation, Webb had met with suspect Steven Foley at Mario’s on the evening of Dec. 11.
Foley, 56, of Northborough, was arrested on Tuesday evening at a hotel in Palmer on an outstanding warrant issued by the Worcester District Court for Mr. Foley for the charge of Burning a Motor Vehicle.
Foley, a Level 3 Sex Offender, was arraigned and held without bail on Wednesday morning. According to MassLive’s report, Foley was arrested three times in the 1980s on charges of rape.
