Alberto Nunez, 46, of Fitchburg, plead guilty in federal court to one count of conspiracy to distribute and possess with intent to distribute 28 grams or more of cocaine base, fentanyl and cocaine on Thursday, January 28.
According to prosecutors, a federal investigation into drug trafficking in the Fitchburg area in September 2018 identified Nunez as a drug dealer who delivered fentanyl and cocaine to customers himself and had multiple associates who did the same.
The charge of conspiracy to distribute 28 grams or more of cocaine base, fentanyl and cocaine provides for a sentence of at least five years and up to 40 years in prison.
