Free COVID-19 Testing this Week in Worcester

Free COVID-19 testing will be offered next week at the following locations (Flu shots are available with insurance):

  • Great Brook Valley, 19 Tacoma St., Monday, Sept. 14, 12-4 p.m.
  • Our Lady of Loreto Church, 33 Massasoit Road, Wednesday, Sept. 16, 2-6 p.m.
  • Community Healthlink, 72 Jaques Ave., Thursday, Sept. 17, 1-5 p.m.

 

WPS Starts “Grab & Go” Meals Tomorrow

On Tuesday, September 15, Worcester Public Schools will begin their Fall 2020 Grab & Go Meals program.

Meals will be available Monday through Thursday from 3 PM to 6 PM and Friday from 10 AM to 1 PM. Friday meal pick-up will include meals for the weekend.

Meals are available for all children, teens and families and anyone up to age 22 enrolled in high school and/or English Language Learner programs. For a list of locations in languages other than English, visit the WPS website.

Submissions Due Today for City’s “Create the Vote” Campaign

Designs for the City’s “Create the Vote” campaign are due today at 12 PM.

Residents of Worcester are invited to submit designs reimagining the sticker voters receive after casting their ballots on Election Day.

Finalist designs will be selected and shared on social media for public voting to determine winners. Voting will close Wednesday, Sept. 16 to meet printing and mailing deadlines. Winning designs will be available in multiple languages for in-person and mail-in Worcester voters.

Creators of winning designs will each receive a $300 prize.
