WORCESTER – The National Weather Service [NWS] has issued a flash flood watch for Worcester and its surrounding towns in Worcester County.
According to the NWS, the flash flood watch will remain in place until 2 AM on Wednesday morning, Sept. 19.
The warning read: Massachusetts has already received 2 to 4 inches of rainfall. Up to an additional 1 to 3 inches of rain is possible within the watch area thru this afternoon.
As a result of the rain that has fallen and expected rainfall over the next few hours, both small stream and urban flash flooding remain possible.
