Carjacker Steals Vehicle with Dog in the Back Seat in Worcester

WORCESTER – Police arrested two individuals  in Worcester in connection with a carjacking on Harding Street.

According to the Worcester Police Department, a 67-year-old man was sitting in his Toyota SUV on Harding Street at around 3 PM, with his dog in the backseat. A woman entered the vehicle and began hitting the man in the head and face with her cell phone.

Police received the report of the carjacking at around 3 PM.

After a short struggle, the woman was able to take control of the vehicle and drove away with the dog in the back seat. Police say she nearly struck the man with his vehicle as she drove away.

The man was treated for abrasions to the face. The dog was later located on Vernon Street by an individual who called police. The dog and owner were reunited by police.

On Monday morning, around 7:45 AM, an officer on patrol near Eastern Avenue received an Lojack alert of a stolen vehicle in the area. The officer located the man’s Toyota on Patch Road.

The officer says that two individuals, Tiffany Flynn, 39-years-old of Brookfield, and Kyle Bailey, 40-years-old of Worcester, appeared to be asleep inside the vehicle.

Both were arrested. Flynn faces charges of:

  • Carjacking;
  • Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon;
  • Assault and Battery on a Person over 60; and
  • Cruelty to Animals.

Bailey faces a charge of Receiving Stolen Property over $1200.
