WORCESTER – The City of Worcester his hosting two focus group meetings on Wednesday, Feb. 1, to gather information regarding the Spectrum-Charter franchise.
The meeting will explain how residents and organizations will benefit from the outcomes of a renewed franchise, identify participants who could provide input at the next focus group meetings in April and encourage attendance at future focus group meetings.
The two meetings are scheduled as follows:
- 2 PM – 3:30 PM at City Hall, Levi Lincoln Room, third floor
- 5:30 PM – 7 PM at the Worcester Public Library, Banx Room, 3 Salem St.
The focus group meetings will seek input from community members who have an interest in or are customers of Spectrum-Charter. The City of Worcester is trying to determine what community programming and cable service obligations should be included in the new agreement with the franchise.
A major part of the new agreement is a Community Neeeds Assessment to help future public, educational and government access TV resources, community and educational benefits and other cable television-related services provided by Spectrum-Charter.
If you cannot attend the meetings, send any questions to [email protected] or call 508-799-1385.
