WORCESTER – A Superior Court judge delivered sentences on convictions on charges of second degree murder and malicious damage to a motor vehicle in connection with the 2017 killing of Cynthia Webb.
Steven Foley, 62, formerly of Northborough, received a mandatory life sentence for the murder charge, and 12 to 15 years on the second charge.
On Dec. 12, 2017, Webb was found dead in the trunk of her burning car in Hope Cemetery in Worcester. The autopsy showed she died because of a violent assault.
“We can only hope Cynthia’s family and loved ones find some closure through this verdict,” Worcester County District Attorney Joe Eearly Jr. said.
