WORCESTER – A Hazardous Weather Outlook has been issued for the Worcester area and most parts of Massachusetts ahead of Friday morning’s commute.
According to the National Weather Service [NWS], a light, wintry mix of freezing rain and sleet might result in slick conditions on untreated roads overnight Thursday into Friday morning.
The rain and sleet is expected to start by 4 AM on Friday morning, followed by freezing rain after 5 AM.
The possibility for icy roads won’t last long on Friday as temperatures are expected to get into the mid-40s by the afternoon.
