UXBRIDGE – Our Lady of the Valley Regional School [OLV] in Uxbridge has announced a fundraising drive aimed at allowing the school to break ground on the Grace Rett Athletic Complex and Education (G.R.A.C.E.) Center in 2021.

The fundraiser, called ‘G.R.A.C.E. to the Finish’ starts on December 18 at 8 AM until three seconds past 10 PM on December 21.

The specific length of the event signifies the world record of 62 hours and three seconds that Rett set for consecutive indoor row exactly one year earlier.

Rett was a sophomore at Holy Cross when killed in a serious crash in Vero Beach, Florida on January 15, while travelling with the College’s rowing team. She turned 20-years-old the day prior to the crash.

Rett’s family said, “The G.R.A.C.E. Center will fulfill one of Graces most aspirational goals, and while that means the world to our family, we are also inspired by the life changing impact it will provide generations of OLV students to come.”
