Worcester Man Arrested for Break In at Local Pub

WORCESTER – A commercial break in led to the arrest of a local man on breaking and entering and other charges.

Police responded to a report of a break in at Fiddler’s Green Pub on Temple Street shortly before 1 AM on Friday, Sept. 20.

Upon arriving at the scene, officers searched the building and determined no unauthorized individuals inside the building. They also discovered evidenc ethat confirmed unauthorized entry to the building.

Officers were able to review surveillance footage of the break in.

Around 30 minutes after reviewing the footage, police located Lawrence Gaul, 43, of Worcester, at the Worcester Common. According to the Worcester Polilce Department, Gaul had the same clothes on as the individual seen in the video of the break in.

Police arrested Gaul, who faces charges of:

  • Breaking and Entering in the Nighttime for a Felony;
  • Vandalism; and
  • Larceny Under $1200.
