3-Year-Old Girl with Life Threatening Injuries after Falling From Window

UPDATE: Worcester Medical Director Dr. Michael  Hirsh said at a news conference on Thursday, June 4,  that he was the trauma surgeon when the girl who fell from the window came into UMASS Medical Center.

Hirsh said that the girl “… is going to do well.”

 

WORCESTER – Worcester Police were dispatched to an Illinois St. residence on Wednesday, June 3, for a report of a child falling from a second-story window.

At the scene, investigators learned the child’s mother drove her to the hospital.

The investigation revealed that the three-year-old female pushed out an air conditioner from a second-floor window and fell to the pavement in the driveway.

The toddler’s injuries are reported as life threatening.

The investigation into the incident in ongoing.
