GRAFTON – Grafton Police responded to a report of a package found with suspicious items in the woods near Buttercup Lane on Saturday, March 27.

When the responding officer arrived, the caller reported they observed several juveniles running from an area with a plastic bag sticking out of a pile of rocks.

The caller retrieved the bag and turned it over to the officer. It contained commercially wrapped candy, “Gummi Sharks,” infused with 500 mg of tetrahydrocannabinol [THC], the active ingredient in cannabis.

The caller did not recognize the juveniles, nor had information on their place of residence.

The investigation is continuing to determine the identity of the teenagers and if or how they came into possession of the THC edibles.
