WORCESTER – A grant from the Worcester Arts Council will allow The Hanover Theatre and Conservatory for the Performing Arts to host a six-week Creative Drama Workshop for city youth.

The free workshop will be in collaboration with Pernet Family Health Services and will be a series of sessions with a teaching artist from the Hanover Theatre.

“The Hanover Theatre and Conservatory for the Performing Arts is thrilled to have the opportunity to work with Pernet Family Health Service Youth Group on this artistic venture,” said Meghan Montaner, director of education for The Hanover Theatre. “Two critical components of our most recent strategic plan include engagement and inclusivity, and this project serves both goals. We are firmly committed to increasing peripheral community outreach and engaging a more diverse population, as well as expanding our identity as a thriving arts education center.”

The students will work in small and large groups, encouraged to identify and express their feelings through creative, writing, movement and acting exercises.
