WORCESTER – The Hanover Insurance Group, which has its headquarters 440 Lincoln St. in Worcester, was named one of the top 200 best companies to work for in 2023-2024 by U.S. News and World Report.
Hanover was founded in 1852 and today has around 4,600 employees in the United States. Its annual revenue is $5.47 billion according to U.S.
“We put great emphasis on building and maintaining a culture where highly talented people want to work, where our employees feel a sense of belonging, and where they are able to build fulfilling and rewarding careers,” said Denise Lowsley, chief human resources officer at The Hanover.
Several other Massachusetts were selected for the top 200 list, including:
- Akamai – Cambridge
- American Tower – Boston
- Boston Scientific – Marlborough
- General Electric – Boston
- Hubspot – Cambridge
- Teradyne – North Reading
- Waters – Milford
U.S. News and World Report did not rank the companies within the top 200.
To qualify for the list, a company had to be part of the Russell 1000 index as of June 2022 and had more than 75 employee reviews written in 2022. Companies were scored on evolving employee sentiment of what makes a workplace a “best place to work” and analyzed based on that sentiment and other information to evaluate quality of pay and benefits, work-life balance and flexibility, job and company stability, physical and psychological comfort, belongingness and esteem, career opportunities and professional development.
