Worcester Woman Arrested on Assault, Firearms Charges

WORCESTER –  Police arrested a local woman on Thursday, June 20, on weapons and assault charges.

Police responded to the Bennet Field Pool on Main Street on Thursday, June 20, after receiving a report of a large fight.

Upon arrival at the scene at around 2:30 PM, officers found a group of about twenty young people in the parking lot. Officers responded to the same location earlier in the day and separated two groups.

As officers were again separating the two groups, one learned that a woman allegedly displayed a firearm and had threatened people with it.

Police located the woman, Briana Henriquez, 20, of Worcester, near Capalta Street. They located a firearm with a defaced serial number inside a bag she was carrying.

Henriquez faces charges of:

  • Assault with a Dangerous Weapon;
  • Use of a Firearm while Committing a Felony;
  • Carrying a Loaded Firearm without a License;
  • Possession of a Firearm with a Defaced Serial Number;
  • Improper Storage of a High Capacity Firearm; and
  • Possession of Ammunition without an FID Card.
