It’s the first weekend of December! The weather is starting to cool down, but don’t freeze your plans to have fun. The events throughout Worcester are also getting cooler! 

Although the city is expecting snow this weekend, some of these events are available virtually from the comfort of your home.

ThisWeekinWorcester.com has your list of five exciting events that will entertain you this weekend. You have so many opportunities this weekend. Spend your weekend outside as you take a walk to admire nature in the city or stay home and prepare for the holiday season a little early this year. 

 

It’s the final day of an exhibit at The Sprinkler Factory!

The Sprinkler Factory’s SOLOS: artists on a mission ends Saturday! The exhibition will be open from 12 PM to 3:30 PM.

SOLOS: artists on a mission is a collection of multiple “solo” exhibits under one roof at one time. Each solo show has its own title, its own collection of nine works, its own mission and its own distinct discipline.

Do you wish you could see into the future? Look no further! 

Central Mass Serenity is holding a Virtual Holiday Psychic Fair this Saturday and Sunday. 

From Saturday morning to 11 PM on Sunday, you can ask the psychics any burning questions you have for the future, including questions about your love life, finances, and past lives. With over fifteen participating psychics in the fair with their own unique skills, you will be mystified by their knowledge as you begin your holidays with a new tradition. 

 

Bring some holiday cheer into your home! 

This Sunday at 11 AM, get creative to spruce up your holiday decor!

Sparkle on the Park is hosting their Virtual Ugly Sweater Wreath Making Workshop! Dress up in your most tacky and fun holiday outfit as you create a great addition to your holiday decorations. The workshop is public as a zoom link on their social media page, and you can buy and pick up your wreath making kit from Sparkle at the Park at 263 Park Avenue in Worcester. 

 

Take the time to appreciate your city! 

This weekend as well as every Wednesday and Sunday this December, The Park View Room Worcester at 230 Park Ave. will be presenting Worcester’s Architectural Heritage Exhibition.

As a guest, you will be able to admire 24 paintings by 24 artists that each feature historic architecture from Worcester, The exhibition aims to highlight the need for architectural preservation in the community. Stop by this Sunday from 3 PM to 4:30 PM, but plan ahead of time since the venue is limited to 8 guests at a time. 

 

Spend your Sunday at a museum! 

This Sunday marks the Museum of Russian Icons’ free first Sunday event. Admission into the museum will be free for all museum goers thanks to a grant from the Nypro Foundation. 

Get out of your house for an hour or two as you learn about the rich history and culture of Russia! Registration to visit the museum is required since only 20 guests are allowed in the museum during each 2 hour time slot.
