WORCESTER – Holy Cross men’s basketball will be shown live on ESPN+ this Saturday at 2 PM. They will be visiting Canisius in Buffalo, NY.

While the Crusader men have gotten off to a disappointing start at 1-9, freshman Joe Pridgen is emerging as a future star. After winning the Patriot League Rookie of the Week last week he posted another career high in points on Tuesday night with 32 points.

Pridgen is now averaging a team leading 15.4 points per game and adding an average of 7.4 rebounds. Tuesday’s game saw him take the team lead from Drew Lowder who has been out with an injury since Dec 1st.

Despite Pridgen’s strong game Tuesday night, the Crusaders lost to visiting UMASS Boston. After shooting 61.5% in the first half and taking a nine point lead into halftime, they went cold in the second half shooting only 25% and going to overtime tied at 59.

UMASS Boston went 3 for 5 in the extra session to get out of Worcester with a three point win.
