WORCESTER – A 45-year-old woman was attacked in her Worcester home this week by a couple claiming to be selling solar panels.

According to the Worcester Police Department [WPD], the female victim said that a male and female knocked on her door and then pepper-sprayed her and forced their way into her home.

Officers were dispatched to the Epworth St. home just after 6 PM on Wednesday night, Oct. 30.

The victim told police that the couple put her in a closet and told her not to move.

The suspects ransacked her home and made off with one of her personal belongings.

The woman was able to escape from the closet and she was transported to a local hospital to be treated for non life threatening injuries.

The investigation is ongoing.
