WORCESTER – The first ever, strictly local food truck festival is coming to Worcester in May.

Aptly called the “Food Truck Throwdown,” the festival will take place at Green Hill Park on May 5 and will serve as the springboard to name the Best Food Truck in Worcester for 2018.

The winner will be chosen by local celebrity judges, and food bloggers/critics. Attendees will also be able to vote for their favorite truck by purchasing ballots for $1.

A second “People’s Choice Award” will also be given based off of attendees ballots. All food trucks permitted in Worcester are welcome to take part in the contest.

Attendance and parking is free. The event will run from 11 AM to 5 PM. Trucks will be placed throughout the grounds allowing the attendees to picnic, and enjoy the park.
