Northborough Man Indicted for Murder of Female Dancer found in Burning Car Last December 1

WORCESTER – A Worcester County grand jury handed up an indictment on Monday charging 57-year-old Steven Foley, of Northborough, with murder in the death of a Sterling woman whose body was found in the trunk of her burning car in Hope Cemetery.

According to Worcester County District Attorney Joseph D. Early Jr., Foley, of 76 Shady Lane, Northborough, had been charged with murder in district court in August in the death of Cynthia Webb, 59, whose body was found on Dec. 12, 2017.

Foley is being held without bail.

As ThisWeekinWorcester.com first reported, Webb was an adult entertainment dancer at Mario’s Showplace in Webster.

Webb’s death is listed as homicidal violence of unknown etiology and the manner is homicide by assault.

Yesterday’s indictment moves the case to Worcester Superior Court where Foley will be arraigned anew at a future date.

Assistant District Attorney Brett F. Dillon is prosecuting the case. Worcester Police continue to investigate the homicide.
