WORCESTER – A memorial fund has been established to benefit the family of Worcester Firefighter Lt. Jason Menard. Donations are being accepted through the Professional Fire Fighters of Massachusetts Foundation.
Menard was the leader of Ladder 5 at the McKeon Road Fire Station.
As previously reported, in the early morning of November 13 Menard’s crew responded to a fire at 7 Stockholm Street in Worcester. In an effort to locate a baby reportedly trapped on the third floor, the crew became trapped on the third floor. Menard is reported to have saved the life of at least one crew member, but never freed himself.
All donations will benefit Menard’s wife, Tina, and their three children.
