WORCESTER – Police arrested a 17-year-old male on weapons charges on Tuesday, Oct. 15.
Officers responded to a report of a male with a gun at a home on Chandler Street at around 7:40 PM. Upon arrival at the scene, police say multiple men attempted to flee the scene on foot. Officers quickly caught up with them nearby.
Police detained the 17-year-old male and discovered he was carrying both a replica firearm and an operational firearm, which was loaded.
Police arrested the juvenile, who faces charges of:
- Possession of a Large Capacity Firearm;
- Carrying a Loaded Firearm Without a License;
- Possession of Ammunition Without an FID Card;
- Possession of a Large Capacity Weapon with a Feeding Device; and
- Trespassing.
Police did not release the name of the arrested individual, as he is a minor.
