WORCESTER – On Monday night, employees of Kelley Square Pizza had to hold down an irate man to the ground that appeared to be carrying a handgun.

According to the Worcester Police Department [WPD], officers were dispatched to the pizza shop around 7 PM for a report of a person with a gun making threats. When they arrived, officers saw employees holding down 44-year-old Antonio Judd, of 36 Catharine St.. On the ground next to Judd appeared to be a small, black handgun.

Judd was placed in handcuffs and witnesses told the officers that Judd “was sitting in the restaurant for a long period of time without ordering anything” and that Judd would just lay on the floor in the restaurant.

When he was told that he needed to order something or leave, Judd began screaming at the store employees and calling them names. While being escorted out by employees, Judd said, “I’ve got something for you!” and reached for what looked like a black handgun from his waist.

The store employees grabbed Judd to prevent him from reaching the handgun and the struggle ensued.

Officers determined that the item was a realistic-looking BB gun replica. Judd was placed under arrest for Assault with a Dangerous Weapon, Disorderly Conduct and Trespassing. He will be arraigned in Worcester District Court. No one present was injured.
