Dudley Man Sentenced for Home Robberies in Three Towns

WORCESTER – A Worcester Superior Court Judge sentenced a local man to at least seven years in prison for a series of robberies in 2023.

Police suspected David King, 48, of Dudley, of breaking and entering at multiple residential properties in both Auburn and Princeton. An Auburn detective recognized King in a surveillance video connected to one crime.

A detective in Princeton received a search warrant for King’s home, where property stolen in both Auburn and Princeton was discovered.

King pleaded guilty to charges for robberies in Auburn, Princeton, and Holden on May 30. The judge sentenced King to seven to 10 years in state prison for:

  • Breaking and Entering at Night (three counts);
  • Receiving Stolen Property over $1,200 (two counts); and
  • Receiving Stolen Property under $1,200 (two counts).
