WORCESTER – Earlier this year we had the opportunity to speak with Allison Hale, creator of Ladies Night Out Worcester, the groundbreaking, creative networking event that brought women business owners and entrepreneurs to The Sprinkler Factory for an evening that everyone’s still talking about. Taking a moment to look back and reflect on last years successful mission of bringing together women in the community to support and celebrate each other, she shared with This Week In Worcester what she came away with, and what she’s looking forward to this November.
“With over 350 women in attendance, Ladies Night Out Worcester, a networking event for creative entrepreneurs and small business owners, was anything but your typical ‘bagels and business cards” said Hale. “it was a celebration! A platform where like-minded women came out to share what they do, with women who came out to support them— support local, learn something, try something new, and be part of a positive social environment meant to elevate each other.”
In speaking with her, it was clear that Hale didn’t rest and reflect for very long, as she immediately began brainstorming ways to expand on her success. “The inaugural event in March was beyond my expectations” she said, “but we still have a lot of work to do for women in small business. I am contacted almost daily by women who have been working so hard to get their service or product in front of an audience without breaking the bank.”
With over 50 businesses on her waiting list, and several participating businesses indicating their desire to do it again, Ladies Night Out Worcester is set for its second year. Reserving the same eclectic space for Friday, November 16, 2018, Hale has planned another incredible evening for women at The Sprinkler Factory in Worcester. “We have many returning favorites this year… ArtReach, Hanmi Tae Kwon Do, Fechner MD Medical Spa, Blushing Brides, Intuitive Touch, Laurel Ostiguy, Artigiano Legno, Next Level Pet Care and more! We also have some incredible new businesses and sponsors, and of course creating a fun night out for women in the community.”
As if all of that isn’t enough to bring women out for a night, Hale announced that she’s booked a headliner. “We are thrilled to have Niki Luparelli performing live this year! It’s going to be a great night for women. My hope is that before the hustle and bustle of the holiday season, which is often so draining for most of us, we can all come together and enjoy a night out in support of women in our community.”
Although Ladies Night Out Worcester was recently nominated in the Worcester Telegram & Gazette for Best of Central Mass – Best Local Event, Hale didn’t want to spend too much time on that. “I am humbled by the nomination, and I’m very appreciative. But I really would love to tell you about my amazing sponsors!”
