A Leominster man whose name and age are currently unknown was charged in federal court on Thursday on one count of making false statements in a passport application.
On April 4, 2018, “John Doe” was arrested on a criminal complaint and has remained in custody since.
According to the Dept. of Justice, “Doe” applied for a passport at a Jamaica Plain post office using the name, date of birth and Social Security number of a U.S. citizen from Puerto Rico.
“Doe” faces a sentence of no greater than 10 years in prison, three years of supervised release and a fine of $250,000.
