WORCESTER – Police responded to Perry Ave on Tuesday, January 18, in response to gunshots at around 9:15 PM.
Upon arriving on the scene, officers located a man with serious but not expected to be life-threatening gunshot wounds. A heavily damaged vehicle was also at the scene.
Police provided medical aid to the victim until the man received transport to a local hospital be EMS.
Officers also located a second male with minor injuries at a nearby resident. That man declined medical attention.
Investigators believe both men were in a vehicle when an individual fired shots into it. Shortly after the shooting, the vehicle became involved in a vehicle crash and fled the vehicle.
According to the Worcester Police Department, officers also received information that a man later identified at Danny Lloyd, 36, of Charlton, entered the vehicle and stole money from it after the two men fled. Lloyd faces charges of Larceny over $1,200.
