WORCESTER COUNTY – The 2024 National Night Out takes place on Tuesday, August 6, with several police departments in Worcester County taking part.
National Night Out is an annual, national community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships.
The following local area departments are taking part in the National Night Out in 2024, while some has cancelled or postponed the event due to forecasted weather. Please check for any updates from your local department, as changes may be made after the time of publication.
The following departments have announced changes:
Fitchburg – Rescheduled for Aug. 18, Lowe Playground, 174 Elm St. – 5 PM to 7 PM –
Sturbridge – Cancelled, may be rescheduled
Clinton – Cancelled
Southbridge – Cancelled
Gardner – Thursday, August 8, Gardner High School, 200 Catherine St. – 5:30 to 7 PM
At the time of publication, the following departments have not announced changes. Those that indicated the event will continue, rain or shine, that has been noted.
Worcester – Fuller Family (YMCA) Park, 104 Murray Ave. – Rain or Shine – 4 PM to 8 PM
Athol – Lord Pond Plaza, Freedom Street – 5 PM to 7 PM
Auburn – Lemansky Park, 22 Brayman St. – Rain or Shine – 5 PM to 8 PM
Charlton – Charlton Middle School, 2 Oxford Rd – 5 PM to 8 PM
Grafton – Grafton Police Department, 28 Providence Rd. – 5 PM to 8 PM
Leominster – Downtown, 34 Park St. – 5 PM to 8 PM
