WORCESTER – Louis Diamond, 32, of Worcester, was arrested Saturday morning, September 26, after he drove a truck into the Worcester Police Station building.
The impact with the building, around 5 AM Saturday morning, took place near the entrance to the cell room doors.
The crash did not cause any serious injuries, but significant damage occurred to the cell room doors.
Worcester Police Officers placed Diamond under arrest. Investigators soon discovered the truck Diamond was driving was stolen from St. Vincent Hospital a short time before the crash.
Diamond faces charges of Larceny of a Motor Vehicle, Negligent Operation of a Motor Vehicle, Receiving Stolen Property, Vandalism, Breaking and Entering in the Nighttime to Commit a Felony, and Aiding Prisoner in Police Custody.
