WORCESTER – A 19-year-old man died on Thursday, July 23, after being thrown from the motorcycle he was riding in a head-on collision near 152 Lincoln St.
When officers from the Worcester Police Department [WPD] arrived on the scene just before 8:30 PM, it was apparent the man had not survived. He was pronounced dead by paramedics at the scene of the crash.
According to WPD, the preliminary investigation indicates that the motorcycle rider was heading south on Lincoln St. at a high rate of speed.
As a Honda sedan turned into a driveway on Lincoln St., the motorcycle driver attempted to evade the vehicle but collided with it.
The man was ejected from the motorcycle and struck a tractor trailer unit parked nearby on the street.
The investigation into the crash remains ongoing.
