UXBRIDGE – Massachusetts State Police are investigating a single-vehicle rollover on Route 146 north, near exit 3, that resulted in a fatality on Sunday, February 21.

Robert Bilodeau III, 31, of Bellingham, was driving a 2002 Chevrolet Silverado when investigators believe he lost control of the vehicle around 3:30 PM.

The truck exited the roadway to the west, struck a guardrail, and veered back across all travel lanes and struck a jersey barrier and guardrail on the eastern edge of the road.

After being sent airborne, the vehicle rolled over and down an embankment before coming to a rest in shallow standing water.

The impact of the crash ejected Bilodeau from the vehicle. First responders pronounced him dead at the scene. Investigators do not believe he was wearing a seatbelt.

A 35-year-old man from Millville was a passenger in the vehicle. First responders transported the man to a nearby hospital with suspected serious injuries.

Uxbridge Police and Fire Departments assisted Troopers at the scene.
