Man Seriously Injured in Hit and Run on Grafton Hill in Worcester

WORCESTER – A 53-year-old man was struck by a speeding vehicle on Sunday night at the corner of Orient St. and Plantation St., according to the Worcester Police Department [WPD].

The man was attempting to cross the street when he was hit by the vehicle which was traveling at a high rate of speed. The vehicle then sped away. 

Police were dispatched to the intersection around 10:20 PM. The Crash Reconstruction Unit was activated to investigate.

The victim suffered serious injuries — including broken bones — but is expected to survive.

This investigation is ongoing.
