WORCESTER – Shortly after 2 AM on Monday morning, the Worcester Police responded to St. Vincent’s Hospital Emergency Room, for a report of a 42-year-old stabbing victim that had walked in.
The victim was suffering a large laceration to his face and hand and also suffered fractures to the face along with some internal bleeding.
According to the victim’s girlfriend, her boyfriend had left their apartment at around 2 AM. and returned 15 to 20 minutes later bleeding and stated that he had been jumped and possibly robbed of his money.
According to the WPD, officers were told by the victim that the incident occurred in the area of 40 Everett Gaylord Blvd. The victim stated that he was jumped from behind and was unable to get a look at the suspect(s).
Due to the serious facial injuries, the victim was being transferred to a Boston Hospital for further treatment.
Investigators were called in to take over the investigation. Members of the Crime Scene Unit were unable to establish a crime scene.
