MARLBOROUGH — You’ve been getting your Fix in Worcester, and now you can get that Fix in MetroWest true. The rumors are true. Niche Hospitality Group’s President Michael Covino announced this week that The Fix Burger Bar is opening a second location in Marlborough, at 139 Lakeside Ave.
“Great location! Lots of parking, nice view, large space and easy to get to,” wrote one commenter on the company’s Facebook page, responding to the announcement.
Niche Hospitality is shooting for a Nov. 1, 2019, opening date.
The 6,500 foot-square space, formerly the home of Allora Ristorante, is the new spot for the burger restaurant’s local and custom fresh beef grinds, selection of over 40 toppings, shakes, and extensive selection of craft-beer.
The new location, located just off of I-495, nestled between the Apex Center and downtown, will feature 150 seats, a 24 stool bar, and a 50-person patio.
“It was time,” said Covino. “We have been looking at Marlborough for a while now, and all of the right pieces fell into place and we couldn’t be more excited.”
While updates and modifications are in store, the new spot will boast the same decor as the 108 Grove St. location. Covino noted there will be a focus on the patio with a canopy in the works to provide for seasonal usage.
“It is very exciting to see that a well-established and extremely successful restaurant group like Niche Hospitality is coming to our city,” said Meredith Harris, executive director of the Marlborough Economic Development Corporation.
