Governor Charlie Baker announced in a press conference on Tuesday, April 21, that Massachusetts Public Schools will not open again during the 2019-2020 school year.

Schools are expected to continue with distance and remote learning programs in all districts.

The Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) will be issuing updated guidelines for schools to support remote learning and expanded STEM learning.

All non-emergency childcare programs will also remain closed through June 29, 2020.
