The population of millennials is around 80 million mid-20 to early-40-year-olds who are responsible for more than 20 percent of all consumer spending the United States.
This generation has had a significant impact on American culture, technology and the creation of a worldwide platform of consumption.
But where do millennials thrive the most? In their latest report — 2021’s Best & Worst States for Millennials — the data experts at WalletHub compared the 50 states and Washington, D.C. to determine where this generation succeeds or struggles the most.
Bay State millennials appear to do quite well for themselves in several ways. WalletHub lists Massachusetts as the fourth-best overall state for millennials, behind only Washington state, Washington, D.C., and Utah.
Massachusetts ranks well in categories like health and education, and quality of life.
