The Massachusetts Division of Fisheries and Wildlife [MassWildlife] announced on Monday, October 4, fee increases for licenses that phase in over a five-year period, starting in 2022. The increases are the first since 1996.

Increases in fees range from $1.50 to $35. The full list of increases is below.

Masswildlife made an initial proposal for fee increases in January. It held six online information sessions and collected other feedback in email, letters and surveys. That led to the original proposal being revised to a phase in of the increases over five years.

The fee increases intend to address MassWildlife’s current revenue shortfall, sustain the Inland Fish and Game Fund for another decade, fund core operations, and maintain MassWildlife’s programs and services.
