MBTA Ends Extended Commuter Rail Ticket Expiration Sept. 15

The Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority [MBTA] announced the final extension of its Commuter Rail ticket expiration police on Friday, June 11.

Unused Commuter Rail paper tickets that were valid n March 10, 2020, for Commuter Rail trips that are unused and expired, are valid between Tuesday, June 15 and September 15.

MBTA will also reissue unused mTickets that were valid on March 10, 2020, a final time on Sunday, June 20. The reissued mTickets will expire September 15. mTicket customers do not need to take action. The tickets will push to the app automatically.

MBTA also announced sales of the 5-day Flex Pass will end September 15. Flex Passes purchased before that date are valid until used or expired.
