Two Men Arrested in Worcester for Assault with Paintballs

WORCESTER – Police arrested two men on Wednesday, April 14, after three individuals reported paintballs shot at them in three separate incidents.

The first report, around 1:15 PM, sent police to 831 Main St. where officers found an elderly woman with glasses knocked off her face. The glasses also had yellow paint on them.

The woman did not suffer serious injury.

A second report sent officers to Queen St. where a male reported being shot by a paintball gun as a blue Ford F150 passed at a high rate of speed.

Officers issued a “be on the lookout” alert for the vehicle.

A police sergeant saw a vehicle matching the description on Lincoln St. and pulled it over.

Officers arrived and saw a black paintball gun in the back of the vehicle.

During the investigation, a third victim approached officers and reported the men shot paintballs from the vehicle at him on Lincoln St.

Sean Pinkham, 21, of Douglas, did not have a license to operate a vehicle and had an outstanding warrant for his arrest. He faces charges of:

  • Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon (Paintball)
  • Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon on a Disabled Victim
  • Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle.

John Slater, 18, of Worcester, the passenger in the vehicle, faces charges of:

  • Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon (Paintball)
  • Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon on a Disabled Victim.
